I AM GOING TO THE COPENHAGEN CLIMATE TALKS

Hi, my name is Liz Trombley, and I was recently accepted by SustainUS to take part in the International Youth Delegation that is attending the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, 15th Conference of the Parties in Copenhagen, Denmark, from December 7-18, 2009.

The Copenhagen climate talks are set up to be of historical importance.  What happens there this December will determine how humanity tackles climate change–according to science, we have only a matter of years before it’s too late to fix the problems we are creating.  Copenhagen is our last chance to come together as human beings and face the issue.

I am very honored to be a part of these talks, and in the company of such fine young people.  SustainUS is sending a team of about 30 people to the talks where will will join over 500 international youth in reminding our policy makers of the future that is at stake.

Wish us luck!
